Das ist prima!

Realy its great app!

Very good!

Its a great app for beginners. I like the organization of lessons, involving writing and audio comprehension, the way of learning new words and expressions, the actual and useful topics and dialogues. Ive uploaded several apps to try, this was the first one, I was absolutely happy with it and didnt even pass to others.

Great!

The best app for self-learning!

Really impressed

This is a wonderful application, which really helped me to improve my command in German, French and Italian in a very limited period of time. Its definitely one of the best applications in the market. Stroooooongly recommended!

Good, but I need more advanced lessons

Good , but very less lessons for people who like advanced things

Super

30 times per day and you will speak in german well

Better than duo lingo

Protip: register, wait for one day and you will receive an offer: 3 months for free, so you can pay 20 euro for 6 months. And its totally worth it, I like this app.

Just what I needed

I have been struggling with German for years, and now finally I can learn and exercise without effort in a fun way whenever I have a few minutes. Maybe this time I will really learn. The app is flawless, easy to use and fun. The images and the design are great. Absolutely recommended!

Sehr gut!

I started practicing my German during my bus trip to the university everyday. Its making the difference.

Upper Case keyboard for German nouns!

The app is obviously gorgeous. But one important improvement should be made. Upper case and lower case keyboards for exercises. This issue is particularly felt for German, in which nouns always require capital letters. Fixing this issue would greatly improve the usefulness of the app in learning the language.

Ok

Content is good however its expensive, requires slow downloads of each lesson, and is not fun to use. Using this app was a chore. Duolingo is a much better app because it records streaks which is a great incentive to study every day. Im on a 155 day streak. Although babble has superior learning content, its not enjoyable and I rarely used it.

Pronunciation is rediculous

I live in Austria. I have German speaking friends and you app rejects their pronunciation. who should I believe you or them. Your ridiculously expensive (duo lingo is a much better value) you need to straighten this out, or get out of the business.

Very helpful

I took a few German college courses but didnt use the language for seven years. Obviously one forgets if you dont use it. This ap really helped me remember!!it even records your voice and helps your pronunciation! Awesome !!

Great app

I have been using this app alone with Duolingo and Memrise. I gave found it to be very helpful and totally different from the other two. It is more conversational based. It is easy to use. I would like it if there were an easy way to keep track of vocabulary but so far I havent been able to find it although I just used the "Help"button to ask the question. It will be interesting to see how quickly I get an answer.

Good App, with a fair price

I liked this App, it is very professional, I am getting as many resources as I can to learn German... I wont market the others but this App is nice and awesome, thank you developers! The price is not really high but not low either, its price is justified in the amount and quality of its contents. If you are looking for a serious app to take your German to the next level buy this App, do not buy Rosetta Stone or Fluenz, they are way too expensive, this App combines quality, good design, tons of German and all at a reasonable price. One advice to the developers of this App, include videos in the courses and I will love you even more. I am very pleased with having bought this App. I want to take my German to a solid level and get another subscription for another language. Im fluent so far in French, Spanish and English, so Im motivated enough to be proficient in German too. One thing that I must congratulate you too about Babbel is, unlike the majority of the other programs, you guys are not using cartoons to teach the language, I want to learn the language to use it with real people, not cartoons, so your photos within the App are a really good thing. Kudos for that! And I love them because I see photos from Berlin and other German cities which keeps me motivated too. Thank you Babbel your App is helping me so much to learn German.

Review

I love this APP. I will Use this until I master conversational German. Thanks

You have to pay money.

Im sure its a great program, but it went from free to pay so quickly.... Very disappointing. Its a great app but.... Its just terrible how they had to start charging you.. And I was learning so much. Whatever, 2 stars.

Best langauge learning app

This app is great! It is really helping me learn German

Very easy to use

I started using the website Babbel before the app got going, and both have come a long way! (not without some major and minor hiccups) The app is not as comprehensive as the website, but it is excellent for just jumping in and learning. If you are a beginner, there is more than enough content to keep you going for a year or so. It mainly provides vocabulary building and grammar. There are some basic lessons with reading, writing, and pronunciation, but if you are more advanced and looking for language interaction, the website is still the only place for chat/messaging. The only thing Id say this app lacks is a custom vocabulary builder. Sometimes I just want to add words to the review manager without doing the lessons.

Comprehensive starting tool

I am using the app to learn German and have not been to the website. Overall its pretty good. I like the combination of verbal and visual. It does an excellent job of building your ability to spell. It starts with matching words or phrases, then you pick the words out of collections of letters (spaces are appropriately placed), then you need to type the words on your own. Well done. The user needs to repeat lessons a lot in order for it to sink in but that holds true for learning anything new (at least for me). My only criticism is, I think there should be more reviewing. After every 5 lessons or so maybe a paragraph that puts all the words together. We learn new words a few at a time, which is great! I know that in a particular lesson there is only one of a couple of verbs that is an option and that really helps to understand when to use different words. I think it would be good to put more new words together to better understand a more global usage of those collections of words. Overall, its a great learning tool if you are new to a language.
